A little on Natarsha...

She is a media consultant, freelance writer and fashion publicist. This is her passion, her calling and her career. Her dreams constantly evolve and are coming into fruition with hard work, study, degrees, work experience and volunteering.

Specialises in fashion journalism, media relations and online marketing. Fashion Rebel services have proven to be highly effective in generating a greater media interest and profit for independent Australian businesses, labels, designers and community projects.

I hope this philosophy continues to take shape. I can’t wait for the day that Fashion Rebel hits Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, New York, Tokyo... who knows?

Some tips on the Industry from Natarsha...

Melbourne is a rather competitive city when it comes to fashion journalism and styling. I don’t often feel that there’s a genuine sense of camaraderie among my peers. There are times where I’ve extended my services and didn’t even receive a thank you. The best advice is to persevere and reassure yourself that there are passionate and appreciative people out there and you will collaboratewith them.

I rarely give myself the title ‘Stylist or Blogger’. At the risk of sounding unpopular, I feel that aspiring industry players are rather shameless. It’s a tad contrived if you’ve gone to the effort and documentedwhat you wore this morning usinga team of photographers, stylists and makeup assistants…

I personally, would rather write about the designers, get to know the merchants and understand the manufacturing processes. It’s a very enlightening and encouraging process. A line has to be drawn: Are you seeking personal gratification based on materialistic tendencies?  Or... Areyou promoting a designer collection because you believe in the quality?

Don’t you walk your dogs in 7inch pumps and a Bottega bag? :) Love your style Natarsha.
